Product Name: Silicone Resin Intermediate
Item No.: TOPWIN SR-6042
Performance and Purpose:
TOPWIN SR-6042 is a methyl phenyl silicone resin intermediate containing silicon hydroxyl. It exhibits excellent compatibility and high reactivity, making it a versatile component for crosslinking and curing reactions when mixed with acrylic acid, polyester, and epoxy. This silicone intermediate, through compounding or polymerization modification, significantly enhances the weather resistance, particularly against pulverization and cracking. It imparts outstanding light and color retention to outdoor industrial paints and elevates the heat resistance of organic resins, extending the continuous heat resistance up to 300-350 ℃ with the introduction of 30% organosilicon intermediates. Sold as a solid, it can be used directly or compounded in heat-resistant and weather-resistant powder coatings.

Recommended Applications:
SILRES® 604 as a Sole Binder:
SILRES® 604, combined with suitable fillers and pigments, produces powder coatings with minimal performance impact at temperatures up to around 600 °C. When used with organic resins, especially polyester and epoxides, it enhances thermal stability up to 250 °C long-term and up to 300 °C short-term. White coatings containing SILRES® 604 show reduced yellowing compared to similar coatings without silicone resin in this temperature range.
Packaging and Storage:
Generally packaged in 50kg and 25kg plastic-lined paper barrels, TOPWIN SR-6042 should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry environment at 5-25 ℃. The shelf life is typically 12 months from the production date, with usability extending beyond expiration upon passing an analysis.
Construction Reference:
Whether added directly or dissolved in a solvent before incorporation into an organic resin, TOPWIN SR-6042 is versatile in coating preparation. When used in grafting modification, conduct a glass sheet testing method to ensure sufficient grafting
