A highly compatible and cost-effective waterborne silicone slip agent WynCoat® SE-4381 has developed for balancing feel, performance, and cost. This silicone emulsion is made for exactly this application.
A uses a blended technology of multiple specially modified low solid content silicone emulsions. Unlike the simple oily slip of conventional silicones, it gives the coating a soft, smooth, and velvety feel, close to a warm, comfortable skin feel of genuine leather, with no fake slip or greasiness.
When used in coating systems, the silicone components migrate to the surface to form a uniform lubricating film. This provides a soft, smooth feel while significantly improving scratch and abrasion resistance, reducing blocking and sticking under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. The feel lasts and does not fade easily, solving the common pain point in many formulations where the hand feel comes fast and goes just as fast.
As an anionic-nonionic waterborne emulsion, SL-4381 has low viscosity and can be diluted with water in any ratio. It provides excellent compatibility with waterborne polyacrylate (PA) and polyurethane (PU), and not easily to separation or demulsification when blended. It can be added directly to finishing formulations or used alone for surface spraying, making it compatible with existing waterborne production lines without equipment modification.
The product is an eco-friendly waterborne emulsion, solvent-free and with low VOC. It places lower demands on workshop ventilation and environmental protection facilities, making it more in line with today's green production requirements. It is suitable for both replacing solvent-based additives on existing production lines and developing new waterborne formulations.
Artificial leather surface treatment: Added to artificial leather surface treatment agents, it eliminates the plastic feel, brings a soft, smooth, and delicate feel, and improves anti-blocking and abrasion resistance. It is suitable for mass production of artificial leather for footwear and apparel.
Genuine leather finishing system: Used in genuine leather topcoat finishing, it gives the leather a warm, soft, and smooth skin feel, while enhancing scratch and abrasion resistance, elevating the quality of finished genuine leather.
