The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) released the 2024 full-year operational statistics for China’s cold chain logistics industry. In 2024, China’s total cold chain logistics demand reached 350 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.1%. There are 432,000 refrigerated trucks , up 12.9% year on year. In particular, the adoption and application of new energy refrigerated trucks have been significantly strengthened. The adoption and operational application of new energy refrigerated vehicles have been expanded.
In 2025, investment in cold chain infrastructure construction reached approximately 58.55 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%. By the end of 2025, the total cold storage capacity reached about 228 million cubic meters, up 8.3% year on year. Among them, the proportion of high-standard cold storage rose to around 62%. The low-temperature treatment rates for agricultural products such as fruits and vegetables, meat, and aquatic products were 23%, 78%, and 80% respectively, all is higher than the level recorded in 2024.
1.Thermal insulation materials for cold storage rooms shoud be selected according to the following conditions:
1).Low thermal conductivity/(K factor);
2).Non- polluting to food and stable chemical properties at low temperatures;
3).Good dimensional stability;
4).When used for floors and slabs, the compressive strength shall be no less than 0.25MPa.
2.The flammability performance of thermal insulation materials shall comply with the following provisions:
1).When cold storage rooms use lightweight composite sandwich panels such as metal-faced insulation sandwich panels, the combustion performance of the core material of the sandwich panels shall be no lower than Class B₁, and the Class B₁ material shall be a thermosetting material.
2). For internal thermal insulation systems installed on the external walls and ceilings of the building envelope, the thermal insulation material shall not be lower than Class B₁. A non-flammability protective layer shall be applied to the surface of the insulation material.

Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam is produced via the trimerization of isocyanate monomers, forming stable isocyanate ring structures, with superior thermal stability, excellent low-temperature resistance and good flame retardant properties.
